Solubilizer

Solubilizers are highly unique among materials active at boundary surfaces. Their name is misleading: these are not solvents, but rather agents that aid in dissolution, taking lipids that are not soluble in water and binding them in solutions containing water and ethanol – thus making it appear as if the lipids were in solution.

The aim of a solubilizer is to solubilize perfume oils, essential oils and other hydrophobic substances (e.g oil soluble actives and vitamins) in pure aqueous and aqueous-alcoholic systems.
